Can my child read ahead?

Yes. The Lesson Library opens every lesson in the course for reading, with no prerequisites and no gates. Curiosity never needs permission.

Mastery credit still comes from doing the work at the right moment on the ladder, so reading ahead does not skip a rung. That is deliberate: reading a lesson and being able to use it under time pressure are different things, and only the second one is what a transcript should claim.
